Originally from Chattanooga, Bryan Rayburn has practiced law in Dalton since 2014. Prior to joining the firm, Bryan spent time as an associate attorney at Morris & Dean practicing in the areas of family law, personal injury law, criminal defense and workers’ compensation. Most recently, Bryan served as as Assistant District Attorney in the Conasauga Judicial Circuit prosecuting both misdemeanor and felony cases for the State of Georgia. Byran’s current practice at the Coppedge Firm includes family law, personal injury law, and criminal defense.
Bryan graduated magna cum laude from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School. During law school, Bryan held an 18-month internship with the Conasauga Judicial Circuit’s District Attorney’s Office and practiced under Georgia’s Civil Practice Act.
During his internship, Bryan was afforded the opportunity to try eleven criminal jury trials. Additionally, he was an academic research assistant in the areas of criminal law and tort law, and received the CALI Award for Academic Excellence in Wills, Trusts and Estates.
Prior to law school, Bryan graduated from the University of Mississippi in 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History. While attending Ole Miss, Bryan was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society, as well as a member of the Alpha Upsilon Chapter of the Kappa Alpha Order.
Bryan is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and the Conasauga Bar Association. Since 2015, he has served as an officer of the local Bar Association, and is currently serving as President for the 2017-2019 term. Bryan has also been admitted to practice before the Georgia Court of Appeals, Georgia Supreme Court, and the Northern District of Georgia.
Bryan, his wife Nicki, and their two children reside in Dalton where he currently serves on the Board of Trustees at both Dalton First United Methodist Church and the Northwest District of the United Methodist Church.
